The Perfect Crime

Love–a weapon of mass destruction
Love–misuse can lead to self obstruction
Trigger pulled, aimed at the head
Everything spills, all except red
Memories seep out, flowing into my hand
Let’s see how much pain, they’ll be able to withstand
Remembrances to last an eternity, strangled one by one
Watching each one suffer, and then there were none
Cherished stills slowly leaking out, drop by drop
Smothering them in hate, until its breath comes to a stop
Trigger pulled again, aimed right at the heart
Bounded by emotions, begin to fall apart
Rage falls to the ground, down to its grave
No longer to this Anger, will I be its slave
Shattered in pieces, I see Bliss and Trust
Embracing them in my hands, until nothing but dust
Fragments of my hatred, finally of the deceased
Handcuffed to hell, from which I am released
Purged myself of you, a feeling that I’ve won
All the remnants destroyed, all except one
Pain is all that is left, gasping for air
Emaciated, powerless, laying in despair
Hand on trigger, watching as I pull it
Love is a dangerous weapon, now bite the bullet
The day I pulled the trigger, thinking I was dead
Was the day I let go, and murdered you instead.
Wounds on my body, scars over time
Reminding me forever, of the perfect crime.
